Book Review: A Feather So Black
This book had me GRIPPED! I can't believe I have to wait until January to read the next book, but it'll be worth the wait!
In this book we follow Fia, a changeling who replaced the Queen of Fódla's daughter, Eala when she was 8 years old. Eala, along with 11 other human girls were kidnapped by the Folk of Tír na nÓg, and held captive behind it's locked gates.

Fia was raised to be a weapon, a fighter, a spy. She grew up believing only her "Mother" could love her.
When she is grown, she is tasked with the mission of rescuing her sister from the lands of Tír na nÓg, and she must acquire the Sky Sword- a treasure that can bring magic back to Fódla. With her is her childhood friend and Love of her life- Prince Rogan, who broke her heart 4 years prior, and also happens to be Eala's Betrothed.

Together they must break the curse that holds Eala and the other maidens captive, who are swans by day and women by night.

On their mission Fia begins to learn that everything she knew may be a lie. She struggles between her love for Rogan and her attraction to Irian, the Gentry Folk who supposedly holds her Sister captive. Every Full Moon Fia and Rogan cross the gate into Tír na nÓg, and each visit seems to push her further away from Rogan and closer to Irian. Time is running out, and Fia has to make impossible decisions, and discover who she truly is and who she's meant to be. She must also figure out friend from foe.

This book was deliciously spicy and darkly seductive. The Love Triangle pulled me every which way. The story telling was enchanting, and very well written. I also love not only nods to Swan Lake, but also one of my childhood favorite's, "The Swan Princess"
I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book, A Crown So Silver.

This book will be available soon on loveandlorebookstore.com
