The Orion Express: The Unexpected Ticket

$2019

Description

Dealing with her wounded heart from the sudden disappearance of her mother, seventeen-year-old Raven hopes for a lazy stress-free summer with her three friends, Tyler and twins Sam and Sabina. The detour of her plans arrives when she finds a strange medallion along with a puzzling message promising answers in distant lands, oddly enough, through the constellation of Orion. Frustration breeds foolishness when the four friends are unable to decipher the meaning of the medallion and decide to follow the instructions which prove true when it delivers the friends to Ancient Egypt.

Believing the medallion's prophecy, Raven believes she will find her mother in this archaic time. With growing frustrations, weeks and months pass while the friends navigate daily life in the ancient city while intrigue slithers towards them. What scares Raven the most is neither the dangerous predators living in the Nile nor being caught in the middle of a murderous conspiracy to overtake the Pharaoh's throne but that she will never find her mother and that The Orion Express was a one-way ticket.
