Soothing Songs

In a faraway land, a man travels daily to a garden to pick roses for his wife, not realizing that the flowers belong to an evil old lady. After the old woman confronts the man, she tells him that one day he will father a child with a mild disposition, but unattractive looks. Years later, the man forgets the awful curse and is overjoyed when his wife becomes pregnant. But after she gives birth to a deformed baby girl, the man suddenly remembers. As the parents watch their daughter grow, she brings them joy with her beautiful singing voice. Meanwhile, in a faraway kingdom, a king and queen unsuccessfully search for a suitable maiden for their son to marry. But when the prince travels into the forest one day, he stumbles upon Soothing Songs and is instantly mesmerized, even though she insists he remain in the shadows where he cannot see her. In this charming tale, a maiden born not like anyone else in the world just wants to be loved for what lies in her heart. Now only time will tell if any suitor will ever be able to see beyond her physical defects and adore her for eternity.
