He earned his Master's degree from the University of New Mexico and taught high school and college Science until his retirement. Moving to East Tennessee for family reasons, he built his own home while spending time working for SRA-McGraw-Hill during textbook adoptions. His retirement has afforded him time to paint southwestern art and pursue writing, his lifelong passions.
