About the Author

Mali MayU is a history adjunct professor with her alma-mater, currently holds her masters in American Studies, and is looking to start her PhD soon. In addition to teaching at the college level, MayU is a Sunday School teacher for children ages 12-14 and volunteers with the Deployed Adoptions Team of Soldiers Angel's.

MayU is of Afro-Caribbean decent, the first-generation American daughter of a Haitian father and Dominican (DR) mother, and she has an annoying little brother that she love to pieces. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, and baking, and she has a soft spot for veterans/military which perhaps stems from her fascination for the Civil War, World War II, and Vietnam wars.
