A young man, Martin, tells himself this every day as he takes the train to work. The newest teacher at a private Eikaiwa-an English Language school in the secluded Toyama Prefecture of Japan-Martin spends his days wallowing in the bottom rung of a rigid and unforgiving corporate culture.
